Mariam Oladepo Ajagbe
I am an MFA Textiles student at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, with a bachelor's degree in Clothing and Textile Science. As a Nigerian surface designer and fiber artist, I draw inspiration from African heritage and Islamic philosophy to raise awareness of African culture through art, textile design, fashion, and surface patterns. My work blends cultural motifs with modern design, creating vibrant, functional pieces that celebrate diversity.
